Repair Drive
In a futuristic world, you find yourself stationed on an outpost planet with a critical mission to swiftly repair the communication towers. While there, you learn that an alien species is heading towards your home planet to destroy it. With stakes unimaginably high, you speed away in your futuristic car of choice to repair the communication towers before the aliens reach you. Failure would spell the demise of the entire human race within the solar system. Push your boundaries as you navigate treacherous terrain, skillfully drive through challenges, and engage in intense battles against relentless robots. The fate of humanity rests on your shoulders, urging you to test your limits and emerge victorious against the impending threat.
Gameplay
Role: Level Designer & Programmer
This started as a mere two-week prototype, just getting the base mechanics like the vehicles and having some polish for the first level. After returning to the game, it underwent significant expanded the game to include a second level, guns, and enemies. Following this enhancement to the core game loop, I released the game and welcomed valuable feedback. In response, I implemented additional features to heighten the engagement of the core gameplay for players. I meticulously developed the entire framework, encompassing player movement, shooting mechanics, driving, entering and exiting vehicles, repairing antennas, and the behavior of the bots. Regarding the two levels, I ensured the the thematic narrative has cohesiveness and immerse the player into the world.
