Holt Van Berg

          Holt Van Berg is a formidable monster hunter, embarks on a Doom-styled first-person shooter adventure where he combats creatures of the night using a diverse set of abilities. Navigating through concealed ruins, Holt confronts a range of monsters, from zombies to demons, armed with various weapons tailored for specific foes. In addition to an arsenal of weapons, Holt possesses unique abilities such as hurling fireballs and wielding a teleporting dagger. With his exceptional skills, he must confront hordes of adversaries and triumph over the malevolent forces lurking within the ancient ruins.

Role: Lead Programmer

         In this project, I collaborated with three other team members, and we efficiently divided the workload based on our individual strengths. I assumed the role of lead programmer, focusing on developing the AI for the enemies that players would face. Each enemy was designed with unique behaviors to enhance their distinct characteristics. In addition to my responsibilities with AI, I also contributed to the level design, specifically working on crafting the environment for the mini-boss – a temple setting. Behind the scenes, I provided support to my teammates, addressing tasks such as ensuring the functionality of the fireball, integrating weapons with my AI system, and resolving any bugs that could impact the player's overall experience.
