Navinder Virdi is a senior Game Designer at Woodbury University and will be earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in spring 2024. Through his education and dedication, he has expanded his knowledge of game programming, particularly in the C# programming language, level design, lighting, and audio. He has worked on one large team-based project and several smaller team-based projects. During the development process, he was able to effectively communicate with team members and keep classmates on track. In the other projects, he experimented with various mechanics to diversify his creations in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional games.
Navinder first studied at Los Angeles Valley Community College where he took many art classes that helped shape his artistic viewpoint. During his time at Community College, he learned Python without using any available libraries and increased his knowledge of programming. After transferring to WU, he started learning C# where he also collaborated on how to build a game in Virtual Reality within a small group of two. Currently during his free time, Navinder is learning Unreal Engine and both blueprint and C++ within the engine. In addition to learning Unreal Engine, he is learning how to create games using virtual reality. He really loves playing all types of games, ranging from First-Person Shooter (FPS) and narrative driven games to souls like games, exploring various genres.
